DESCRIPTION
Course Length:  8 Hours total; 2 of which are range shooting           
Ammunition Required: 100 Rounds Minimum            

Unlike the other security services, our Personal Protection home Training will
cover home defense plans for defensive shooting in case of a home burglary or
invasion.  Your self-defense planning is a topic somewhat distinct from the
regular diet of shooting fundamentals, it will cover mindset, legal issues,
decision-making under pressure, and planning for the worst.  Our Training will
the Basic Personal Protection in the Home and uniquely designed around your
capabilities in the use of the defensive pistol / shotgun.

The Home Defense Training can be completed in 8 hours.

Products of the Home Defense Training will include a Home Defense Plan,
Engagement Techniques, identification of vulnerable areas, methods of
defensive shooting and development of engagement zones. Clients will receive
intensive lessons on basics of defensive shooting, issues of self-defense, and
other strategies for protecting the home and family.

TRAINING GOAL
“To develop in the clients basic knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to the
safe and efficient use of a handgun for protection of self and family, and to
provide information on the law-abiding citizen's right to self-defense.”











SUBJECTS TO BE DISCUSSED:
  • Preventive Measures and Deterrents of Burglary or Home Invasion
    (Dummy Exterior Cameras, Lighting, Dogs and etc.)
  • Introduction to Defensive Shooting
  • Basic Defensive Handgun Skills
  • Firearms and the Law: Possession, Ownership, and the Use of Deadly Force
  • Strategies for Home Safety and Responding to a Violent Confrontation
  • Selecting a Handgun for Personal Defense (as needed)












PREREQUISITES
Clients of Home Defense Training should be experienced shooters, showing
mastery of the basic skills of safe gun handling. If necessary, a clients will need
to attend an NRA Basic Pistol course  evaluation exercise, where potential
clients will asked to demonstrate safe gun handling, shoot a series of five-shot
groups, discuss the operations necessary to zero a pistol, and demonstrate
how to properly clean a handgun.  Finally, the Home Defense Training is
intended for mature law-abiding adults, who have the mindset and seriousness
necessary to properly perform the activities during any consulting sessions.
Self-defense is not a topic that lends itself to horseplay and distractions.
